Man on Stage

Audio Portfolio

I have been working with audio ever since my freshman year of high school. I have been heavily involved with music since middle school, but I actually got into recording, arranging, editing, mixing, and mastering audio in high school. It first started off with recording either mine or friends' music ideas and then grew into other applications like sound design/foley, field recordings, and much more over these past years. I can't wait to work on more exciting and creative projects!

Snow Day in Van Cortlandt Park (Field Recordings)

During one snowy day, I decided to go to my local park and record any sounds I've found interesting or essential that you would find when walking around this terrain. I used automation to mimic the proximity and head movements one would do during a walk. Just close your eyes and imagine yourself there.

I went back to this project and decided to expand upon it. The catch is in order to get the full experience of this piece you must have a quadrophonic system. I mixed this piece with a four speaker setup in order to play with people's ear and feel as if the world is going around them. It is very interesting if you have the gear required to listen to it.

I decided to work on moving sounds around the stereo field to make something interesting to the ears. Even though it's short, I think the constant changes make up for it and leave people will a lasting impression.

Short Animated Story Soundtrack Idea

I had this common theme in my head for a while and I thought it would fit very well in an animated short story. Therefore, I expanded upon the idea and used synths, field recordings, electromagnetic field mics and contact mics to collect the needed sounds, and then edited them to create this short piece for this imaginary short story in my head.

Bedroom Jam

I thought it would be very cool to create this little jam, using nothing but what I had in my bedroom. It also couldn't be created by using any musical instruments. Therefore, I was only limited to audio recordings of random things in my room, electromagnetic field mics and contact mics to create this fascinating piece that came from a challenge.

Sound Design/Foley Interpretation of an Adventure Time Clip

I always wanted to try working on audio for either TV or movies. Therefore I took a clip from Adventure Time, minus the audio, and created all the audio for it myself (soundtrack, SFX, etc.).

Jungle Soundtrack

I thought of creating a soundtrack for this scene I had where one wakes up in the middle of a jungle. They have no idea how they got there or what happened before. It's beautiful at first, but then the eeriness comes in. It's not long before the person in the scene hears someone coming. The mood then changes. That's all I'm going to say. Give it a listen and see if I managed to create what I was thinking.

"Midnight Romance" - $2 Wave

Back in high school, I was in a band with friends called $2 Wave. We created one single where I was the co-producer and engineer for the sessions that culminated in this single. While it is a generic pop-punk song with decent mixing and mastering, I'm glad we put it out. It taught me a lot about working with other creators on what the song should sound like and how to negotiate each other's desires on the final product. It is also great to listen back to and see how far I have progressed on my journey.
